Head of Alternatives

Thomas is the Partner and Head of Alternatives at Blackbrook Partners Executive Search. He started his career working in buyside investment roles across asset management and private banking.

Extensive track record of placements at the Director, MD and Partner level in London, France, Germany, Nordics, Benelux, Southern Europe, and the UAE.

Thomas manages the senior search mandates, retained searches and advisory work that Blackbrook engage in; including, deal introductions in the region of £1m – £15m Ebitda.

Thomas holds a BSc in Finance from Durham University

Rory Court

Principal Private Credit

Rory is a lead Consultant in the Blackbrook Private Debt team. Rory’s background is in STEM research before transitioning to executive search.

Rory takes a lead on Direct Lending, Subordinated Lending, Growth Lending and fundraising mandates. He works start-up funds to the world leaders in the space managing trillions$ in AUM. Rory has also supported Director to Partner level mandates on a Pan-European basis. 

At Blackbrook, it is Rory’s responsibility to build out our market leading research product across the entire private debt space covering: diversity and inclusion, ESG, teams, structures, geographies and fund strategies.

Rory holds a MSc in Medical Science from Exeter University

Chris Veinbaums

Snr Consultant Equity and Credit Special Situations

Chris is a Snr Consultant at Blackbrook Partners. Chris has a background in Headhunting and Executive Search.

It is Chris’ responsibility to lead mandates at all levels in flexible, complex special situations strategies. This is across; PIK,  subordinated, preff, hyrid and tactical opportunities. Additionally: distressed, public and private, minority and majority equity mandates. Chris also supports the Pan-European research products that Blackbrook produce.  

Chris holds a BA from the University of Dublin and an MA from UCL

Miriam Owen

Private Markets Consultant

Miriam is a Consultant at Blackbrook Partners. She has led searches across Private Credit, Private Equity and Corporate
Development, from Associate to ‘Head of’ level.  

She started her career at RSM, building the
Foundations of her financial knowledge. She then moved
Into an operational role, leading a new acquisition for an
SME. Excellent academics including A* A* A* A* at A level.
